Greg Stewart has claimed team-mate Kane Hemmings is an unsung hero for Dundee – and will return to top form soon.
Stewart is a big fan of Hemmings who joined the club in the summer from Barnsley and got his Dens Park career off to a whirlwind start.
The 23-year-old has found goals harder to come by in recent weeks but fellow striker Stewart knows there’s far more to Hemmings’ game.
Stewart, who played with Hemmings at Cowdenbeath, said: “Kane does a lot of unseen work.
“His work-rate is exceptional and I’m sure he’ll get back among the goals again soon.
“Kane’s contribution is appreciated by all the lads.
“He does a lot of hard graft which sets up goals and we know he can take a chance when it comes his way.”
Meanwhile, club captain Kevin Thomson, who has been out for the best part of a month, has returned to training and may have a chance of making a comeback at Inverness on Saturday.
