There was no sixth successive win for St Johnstone last night as Dundee left McDiarmid Park with a 1-1 draw.
However, Saints boss Tommy Wright conceded that a point apiece was a fair outcome on a stormy Friday night.
Wright was annoyed by his side’s slow start and had to watch Kane Hemmings get the Dark Blues off to a flyer in the third minute.
However, David Wotherspoon grabbed a fine equaliser in 13 minutes to keep the club unbeaten since October 17.
Wright said: “Yes, a draw was probably right.
“I did feel disappointed with the start we made to the game.
“We let them get a good foothold in the match and we made too many mistakes.
“We also didn’t move the ball quickly enough.
“We did have a good spell in the first half and got ourselves back into the game.
“The first half was pretty much end to end after that and any team could have scored.
“I think the match fizzled out a bit in the second half as the rain got onto the pitch and it cut up a bit.
“The positive thing is that we came back but it is a negative that we keep going behind.
“I keep saying we can’t keep doing it but we do seem to be able to do it.
“We just have to start better than we have been doing.
“The unbeaten run keeps going, though, and we are still in a good position.”
