Former Dundee favourite Craig Forsyth is set to be snapped up by Derby.
The 24-year-old, who joined Watford in 2011, had found his opportunities blimited since Gianfranco Zola took over as boss at Vicarage Road.
Forsyth went out on loan to Derby in March and impressed Rams boss Nigel Clough during the 10 appearances he made before being recalled by the Hornets prior to the Championship play-offs.
Watford have made it through to the final at Wembley in a fortnight against Crystal Palace and once that is over, Derby are expected to make a move to bring Forsyth to Pride Park on a permanent basis.
Derby County chief executive Sam Rush said: “Craig is a player who did extremely well here, a player who we would like to bring in and I am confident once Watford’s play-off commitments are finished we will do that.”
