Christian Nade has signed for Dundee until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old Frenchman, who made his name in this country with Hearts, has been a free agent for several months since a proposed stint with East Fife didn’t work out.
He has been training with Dundee for over a week and impressed in a recent closed-doors game.
Manager John Brown said: “We’ve had a long look at him and he’s done well. He’s played at a high level and has bags of experience. That’s what you need at this stage of the season.
“He also has a point to prove and we’re giving him the chance to show what he’s capable of.”
Nade goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash with Hamilton Accies at Dens.
