Dundee boss John Brown is set to contest the notices of complaint issued against him by the SFA.
The Dens Park manager received the charges earlier this week from disciplinary officer Vincent Lunny.
The first regards an alleged breach of disciplinary Rule 71, accusing Brown of “not acting in the best interests of association football by making public comments of an insulting nature in a newspaper interview accusing Robert Douglas, former goalkeeper of Dundee FC, of telling lies”.
The second charge is of a two-fold nature and alleges breaches of Rules 82 and 86. Brown is accused of breaking the first “by making offensive comments in a newspaper interview suggesting the use of violence”, while the second alleged breach regards “not acting in the best interests of association football by making comments in a newspaper interview suggesting the use of violence”.
Brown had until Wednesday to decide whether to contest the charges and will now travel through to Hampden next Thursday to plead his case.
