Julen Etxabeguren has warned Celtic that they will be facing a different Dundee team to the one that they thrashed 6-0 the last time the sides met at Parkhead.

If anything Paul Hartley’s men are the form team going into tonight’s Premiership clash – the first part of back to back games against the Old Firm.

“It’s an exciting week for the club,” said the former East Fife man who is set to start.

“We have a great game at Celtic firstly.

“It was a sore one the last time we went to Celtic Park but I think we are on a good run just now.

“I was injured that day but it was still a hard one to watch from the stand.

“Having said that, I think the team have improved a lot over the past few weeks.

“We have learned to be solid at the back and take our chances at the other end of the field.

“We are getting the right sort of results so it’s a great opportunity for us what’s coming up.

“Celtic have great attacking players, but I think we have players who can cause anyone problems on their day.”

Hartley has to plan for this game and the cup tie, but the players only have eyes for Celtic.

“We are focused on Wednesday’s game,” Etxabeguren said.

“We are not looking any further ahead.

“A good week for us would be to win both obviously.

“But we can’t look further forward than Wednesday when we want to get a positive result.

“After that we can then start to work towards the weekend’s game at Ibrox.”

He added: “It feels good to be back.

“That was my first start on Saturday since December when I got injured against Motherwell.

“My eye is OK now but it was frustrating as it was a strange kind of injury, although it’s part and parcel of football.”
