Rab Douglas is still with Dundee confirms chief executive

Dundee chief executive Scot Gardiner has confirmed that keeper Robert Douglas has not left the club.
The veteran stopper was involved in an alleged bust-up with interim boss John Brown nearly three weeks ago prior to the derby against Dundee United.
Douglas was thought to be angry that Brown had brought in replacement keeper Steve Simonsen ahead of the game.
However, the manager felt that he had to recruit another experienced goalie as Douglas had been carrying a thigh injury and would not be fit to play at Tannadice.
There followed a full and frank exchange of words between Brown and Douglas after which the keeper left Dens.
There has been feverish speculation since suggesting that he has exited the club for good. However, Gardiner insists that is not the case.
Instead, what happened is being treated as an ongoing disciplinary matter.
He said: “Robert is still part of the squad and team. It is being dealt with as an internal matter but I can confirm he has not left the club.”
