It’s derby time as Dundee United welcome Dundee to Tannadice this Sunday.
There have been 88 derbies in all major competitions (including Wartime and Summer Cups) at the home of the Tangerines, with United winning 41, Dundee 25 and 22 matches drawn.
The first fixture took place in the league on January 4 1926 and ended in a 1-0 win for the visitors thanks to a goal from Dave McLean.
Our football writer Ian Roache looks back on six of the best three wins for each team.

United had won the League Cup just a month-and-a-half earlier by beating Aberdeen at Dens Park when they welcomed the Dark Blues in the country’s other knockout competition.
One of their goal heroes against the Dons, Willie Pettigrew, was to steal the show in what turned out to be a stormy encounter.
He gave the home team the lead on the half-hour mark before Dundee’s Jim Shirra had a goal disallowed, a decision that incensed the visitors.
Paul Sturrock made it 2-0 to United just after half-time before Pettigrew grabbed another one on 59 minutes.
Dundee duo Stewart MacLaren and Eric Sinclair were both sent off for off-the-ball incidents involving Billy Kirkwood and Paul Hegarty respectively.
Now playing against nine men, Pettigrew and Co ran riot and the former Motherwell man scored another twice (68 and 84 penalty) before Billy Pirie grabbed a goal back for the Dens men in the last minute.

Gough made it 2-0 on 51 minutes but then came the opposition fightback.
Iain Ferguson netted from the spot two minutes later then Albert Kidd levelled on 69 minutes.
The home fans were stunned when Cammy Fraser made it 3-2 to the away side just five minutes later.

It was all United now and they finished the first half 4-1 up thanks to Chris Erskine (31) and Mackay-Steven again (42).

Argentinian superstar Claudio Caniggia gave the visitors the lead on 38 minutes.
Dundee added to their opener on 73 minutes and it was one of the best goals scored by the Dark Blues at the home of their rivals.

The home side reacted well to going behind and went on to dominate the rest of the first half but the second period was only two minutes old when United fell further behind.
