Former Dundee United full-back Andy Robertson has been named Hull City’s player of the month for August.
The 20-year-old has taken the move from the Scottish Premiership to the top tier of English football in his stride and he has already become a firm fixture in Steve Bruce’s side.
Robertson moved to the KC Stadium in July for a fee believed to be in the region of £3 million.
He missed Scotland’s Euro 16 qualifier in Germany because of injury but has been ever-present for Hull.
Despite settling in well at his new club, Robertson insists he still has lots to learn.
He said: “I’m delighted to have won the Player of the Month award. I’m happy with the start I’ve made to life at the club and in the Barclays Premier League.
“When you move to a new club, you want to impress straight away and play as much football as possible.
“I’m just happy to be in the side and playing football hopefully that will continue going forward.”
He added: “I’ve made no secret of the fact that there are a lot of things I still need to work on.
“I’m happy with the way I’ve started the season but I can’t and won’t rest on any laurels.
“I want to continue performing well but, as I say, I still need to work on my overall game.”
