Ryan Gauld and Stevie May have received their first call-ups to the full Scotland squad.
The former Dundee United and St Johnstone men were overlooked by Gordon Strachan when they were playing in Tayside but have today been named in a 27-player squad for the European Qualifier double-header against Georgia and Poland.
May has hit the ground running at Sheffield Wednesday, scoring three goals, including a recent winner against Reading.
Sporting Lisbon are taking their time with Gauld, but he has impressed their management in the club’s B team and he was the man of the match in a recent under-21 game for Scotland.
Celtic captain Scott Brown returns from injury, while there is also a place for Aberdeen’s Mark Reynolds.
Gauld has previously represented Scotland at both under-19 and under-21 level, while May has eight under-21 caps.
