Italian giants Juventus have joined the long list of clubs watching Dundee United’s young stars.
The runaway Serie A leaders, the Old Lady of Italian football, had a representative at Tannadice on Saturday as the Tangerines stormed back to beat St Mirren 3-2.
The Juve spy did not see the best of Jackie McNamara’s team until the closing stages, when they scored three times to beat the Buddies.
Nevertheless, the presence of one of European football’s aristocratic clubs at the game does show the level of interest being shown in the likes of Ryan Gauld, Andrew Robertson, Stuart Armstrong and Jon Souttar.
Meanwhile, United will find out their William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final opponents tonight after Albion Rovers and Rangers fight it out in a replay at New Douglas Park.
The Tangerines have had a request from the SFA to switch their April 12 last four fixture from Ibrox to Celtic Park rejected by the SFA.
In the expectation the Light Blues will win through this evening they do not want to be playing them at Ibrox.
Chairman Stephen Thompson said: “If it is to be Rangers, then we are not happy with the fact that it is not a neutral venue.”
However, the SFA have already said no to a switch and have allocated United 13,100 tickets.
The furore stems from Hampden being unavailable due to its use as an athletics stadium for the Commonwealth Games.
