Rangers 1 Dundee United 3: Tangerines book place in Scottish Cup final

Dundee United have reached the Scottish Cup final after beating Rangers 3-1 at Ibrox.
Stuart Armstrong opened the scoring 25 minutes into the game.
The midfielder gathered the ball from Gavin Gunning’s header and breached the Gers’ defence to slot the ball past Steve Simonsen.
United then doubled their lead 12 minutes later when Gary Mackay-Steven found the back of the net after some slack play by Ricky Foster gifted the ball to Nadir Ciftci.
The striker pulled the ball back to Ryan Gauld for him to feed to Mackay-Steven.
The winger’s shot took a defection of Bilel Mohsni putting it out of Simonsen’s reach.
The Gers pulled a goal back before half-time when Steven Smith’s free-kick eluded United keeper Rado Cierzniak.
Ciftci restored United’s two-goal lead after he was gifted the ball by Simonsen.
The striker pounced on the keeper’s poor touch from Foster’s back-pass to take the ball round him and casually run it into the empty net.
