Dundee United report ‘healthy’ boost to season ticket sales
ByThe Courier Reporter
Dundee United are reporting a “healthy” year-on-year increase in season ticket sales.
At the close of the club’s loyalty discount period on Sunday, the number of purchases was 16% greater than the comparable figure 12 months ago.
United will now hold the costs at the discounted level until the close of business on Friday as a backlog of applications is processed.
However, there will no longer be a guarantee that same seats can be reserved.
Tannadice director Derek Robertson said: “We’re very encouraged by the figures to date and would like to thank all of those who have responded to our season ticket campaign so far.
“There may well be a levelling off of sales in the weeks ahead but all of the signs are very positive with quite a number of new season ticket purchasers included in the figures.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff at the club, particularly those involved in ticketing and our media sales campaign for all their efforts in this respect.”
