Dundee United monitor fitness of loan target Curtis Good

Dundee United are continuing to monitor the fitness of loan signing target Curtis Good.
The Australian international is wanted back from parent club Newcastle for next season but he is recuperating from surgery on a hip injury and is unlikely to make the start of the campaign on August 9 against Aberdeen.
That could make manager McNamara reconsider his signing options.
While he is not the experienced centre-half the United boss is looking for, the performance of youngster Darren Petrie at the heart of the backline alongside new boy Callum Morris in the Athlone game was encouraging and Petrie could get another runout when United face Bohemians in Dublin on Saturday.
Keith Watson, who watched from the stand on Tuesday night, is having his fitness assessed and could face Bohs.
Mark Wilson did not travel to Ireland and his foot problem means he could miss out on the Dutch part of the pre-season programme as well.
McNamara said: “Keith has a calf strain but are hopeful Keith will train on Thursday.
“Mark is to see a specialist and may get an injection. We will just have to wait and see whether or not he will be fit enough to make the Dutch trip.”
