Dundee United director John Bennett has resigned from the board at Tannadice. It is understood that Bennett, who also owns Dens Park, believes the time is right for fresh blood. He has been on the board for 11 years and played an important role in the appointment of Jackie McNamara. Bennett’s resignation follows that of fellow director Gibby Haggart last month.
