McNamara and Wright weren't shaking hands a few weeks ago.
Jackie McNamara is considering an appeal after he was given a five match touchline suspension by the SFA.
The Dundee United manager was found to be in breach of Disciplinary Rule 203 after a spat with St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright at Tannadice a few weeks ago.
Both men were red carded on the night.
Three of McNamara’s five games apply immediately and two are suspended until the end of the season.
He had originally planned to attend the hearing in person but decided in the end not to interrupt his team’s preparations for the Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers.
If McNamara does appeal, he could yet be in the dug-out at Ibrox.
A United statement read: “The club is disappointed at this outcome, particularly as the manager was unable to attend the hearing in person, and will now consider whether to appeal.”
