Dundee United defender Jarek Fojut heading home to Poland

Dundee United central defender Jarek Fojut appears to be on his way back to Poland because he is homesick.
The 27-year-old signed for the Tangerines last summer and was a key member of manager Jackie McNamara’s side during the season just ended, making 43 appearances and chipping in with five goals.
Fojut still has a year left to run on his contract.
However, with the player’s wife Karolina and family having returned to their homeland after failing to settle in Scotland, he looks likely to follow them.
United are understood to be willing to accept and support Fojut’s decision if he does conclude that his future lies back in Poland.
Nevertheless, they would be looking for a decent fee for him and favourites for his signature are Pogoni Szczecin.
Szczecin’s sporting director Maciej Stolarczyk has already publicly talked about Fojut.
Stolarczyk said: “This is a very good player with a high level that occurs in the Scottish Premier League.
“The whole time he’s there he has had a place in the line-up.
“It is certainly a player who is a defensive strength of the team.”
