Dundee United midfielder Scott Fraser has expressed his delight at signing a three-year contract extension.
The Tannadice youth academy graduate has arrived back at the club this season after a successful loan spell at Airdrie.
He is a player who is very much in boss Jackie McNamara’s first-team squad plans and was on the bench for the opening day match against Aberdeen.
Fraser, who is now contracted to the Tangerines until May 2018, said: “I am very happy to extend my time at Dundee United, the club that has helped me progress to this stage of my career.
“I know the club will give me the opportunity if I merit it and I am proud to be part of the future here.
“I can now concentrate on my football development and give my best for Dundee United and the supporters.”
Manager McNamara, meanwhile, welcomed the news of Fraser’s fresh deal.
McNamara said: “Scott has always shown exceptional attacking ability and during his loan spell at Airdrie he added another element to his game from playing in League One.
“The improvement he has shown and his willingness to learn has really impressed me.
“I believe Scott will be a big player for United over the next few years and it is important that we got his contract signed.
“The fans will enjoy what he produces for the first team.”
