Dundee United need to pass their way out of sticky spell

Dundee United manager Jackie McNamara is looking for his players to earn pass marks when they take on Hibs on Sunday.
The Tangerines struggled to find each other with the ball on a slippery surface as they lost 2-1 to Aberdeen at Tannadice on Wednesday.
That defeat meant they have now lost three matches in a row they were also beaten by St Mirren and St Johnstone and will be desperate to stop the rot with a victory over Terry Butcher’s Easter Road side.
McNamara is confident they can do so but only if they pass the ball more accurately than they did against the Dons.
“I was disappointed with some of our passing and it could have been better,” said McNamara.
“We are at home to Hibs on Sunday next we will need to pass the ball a lot better than we did against Aberdeen.
“Hopefully, the pitch hasn’t taken too much of a battering after all the rain.
“We were disappointed to lose like we did but we will dust ourselves down and get ready for Sunday.
“It’s a good thing that we have a game so quickly.”
