Dundee United are still a soft touch, according to defender Paul Dixon.
And until they put that right, they won’t pull themselves up the Premiership table.
United’s 2-0 defeat in Aberdeen leaves them three points adrift of second bottom Partick Thistle going into the international break.
Dixon said: “It was a better performance than against Hibernian but there were a lot of frailties there that we need to solidify.
“We need to work on that over the next few weeks.
“A new manager is going to want to bring in his own players so everyone has to buck up and get on their game as they could lose their place in the team.
“That is what happens in football all over the world so some boys need to wake up.
“We are too soft at the moment. You could have driven a bus through the middle of us for Aberdeen’s second goal.”
