Dundee United may be without Gary Mackay-Steven for Tayside derby

Dundee United talisman Gary Mackay-Steven is an injury doubt for Monday night’s crucial Tayside derby at St Johnstone.
The winger picked up a hamstring injury on international duty and will be assessed by United’s medical team today.
The 22-year-old was an unused substitute for Scotland’s defeat to Wales on Friday, but wasn’t fit enough to make the bench in Serbia on Tuesday night.
It would be a huge blow to Tannadice boss Jackie McNamara if he misses out against Saints, as Mackay-Steven has only recently returned from a hand fracture.
McNamara is already without his other star frontman, Johnny Russell, for the two games left before the split.
He believes the Tangerines may need to beat both Saints and Aberdeen to make the top six.
