Scotland Under-21 call-up for Dundee United’s Charlie Telfer

Dundee United’s Charlie Telfer has received his first call-up to the Scotland Under-21 squad for a friendly in Hungary on March 26.

The 19-year-old midfielder joined the Tangerines during the summer from Rangers and has made 16 appearances so far this season for Jackie McNamara’s side, netting four goals.

He won the SPFL Player of the Month award for November and his overall displays have now caught the eye of Scotland Under-21 temporary manager Danny Lennon, who has also included former United favourite Ryan Gauld in his squad for the game in Budapest.
