Gary Bollan sees son follow his path at Dundee United

Luc Bollan is following in his footballing father’s footsteps by starting out with Dundee United.

Bollan junior is understood to have been interesting city rivals Dundee, but United stepped in to sign the youngster last week.

Dad Gary said: “I am delighted for Luc that he is going to be given the same opportunity that I had. He is still at school at the moment and will combine that with his football education.

“He is central defender who is quite strong and assertive. He has a chance of a career in the game but only if he works hard on and off the pitch.”
