Dundee United striker Nadir Ciftci’s disciplinary tribunal hearing into allegations he seized hold of an official’s throat has been put back until Tuesday.
The 21-year-old was due to appear at Hampden last Thursday to face a SFA notice of complaint alleging violent conduct, with the forward accused of “seizing hold of” assistant referee Gavin Harris’ throat in the Scottish League Cup quarter-final defeat to Inverness on October 29.
However, that hearing was moved to this morning due to unavailability of witnesses.
It was due to take place at 5pm on Thursday to allow Jackie McNamara to oversee training ahead of the Scottish Cup tie against Kilmarnock, however the hearing was deferred again and will now take place next week.
United are contesting the allegation and will also be represented by director Derek Robertson when the hearing is reconvened.
