The last time Dundee United travelled to Dingwall to face Ross County, it proved to be the launching pad for a five-game unbeaten run.
Now, with the Tangerines not having won in five, boss Jackie McNamara is hoping for another Highland tonic on Sunday.
However, with Staggies manager Derek Adams having drafted in several reinforcements during the transfer window so far, he is wary about the new threat County possess.
McNamara said: “We’re back up to the Highlands and we want to get a good performance there. We kick-started things against them last time we went to Dingwall. That was the beginning of our good run.
“It’s a fine pitch and I’m sure it will be a good game. County have strengthened their team so far this month, adding some experience from England.
“Derek has signed Filip Kiss from Cardiff and Jordan Slew from Blackburn (and Youann Arquin from Notts County) so they’ve added real quality to their team.
McNamara added: “In the summer he went more European, but in the window he’s gone more British in his signings so you can see his thoughts there.
“They have changed the shape of their team as well. You can see in the response he’s got that they’re doing well so it’s going to be tough up there.
“Not winning isn’t on my mind, it’s frustrating but we’re looking forward. Nothing changes from winning six to not winning, you don’t dwell on the last game but look forward instead.
“The most important thing is the next match you play.”
