Dundee goalkeeper Scott Bain has had the appeal against his derby red card rejected by the SFA.
Bain, expected to make his debut for Scotland against the Czech Republic in Prague tonight, will now be suspended for the Dens side’s Premiership home match against Ross County on April 2.
The Dark Blues felt their number one did not deny Dundee United striker Billy Mckay an obvious goalscoring opportunity when he fouled him to concede a penalty in the 2-2 draw at Tannadice on Sunday.
However, the SFA’s disciplinary panel met at Hampden today to discuss the case and felt referee Steven McLean got the decision right.
