Partick Thistle v Dundee United: Winning start is all that matters to Sean Dillon
ByIan Roache
New Dundee United captain Sean Dillon revealed that the players are completely oblivious to the controversy surrounding their Scottish Premiership opener.
The Tangerines travel to Glasgow to face Partick Thistle in the very first game of the new league and can expect a hot reception.
Jags fans will no doubt be keen to let United boss Jackie McNamara and his assistant Simon Donnelly know what they think of their leaving Maryhill in January to head to Tannadice, while ex-Partick players Chris Erskine and Paul Paton could get stick as well.
More recently there has been the row over ticket prices for the match, with Thistle originally planning to charge more for adult away fans than the equivalent home supporters. That battle has been won by United, with spectators now paying £20 across the board.
All that has added plenty of flavouring to this Firhill fixture but when Dillon leads his side out they will be focusing on one thing and one thing only getting the season off to a winning start.
