Estonian international Henri Anier is to be unveiled as Dundee United’s newest signing.
The striker has agreed to join the Tangerines and is due to fly in from Tallinn, possibly as early as today, to finalise the move.
Anier (24) was a star for Motherwell last season as the Steelmen finished second behind Celtic before leaving in the summer to join German Bundesliga 2 side Erzgebirge Aue.
He is now heading back to Scotland to further enhance the attacking options of the Tangerines, who are currently the Premiership’s top-scoring team.
Anier has been capped 21 times by Estonia and scored the only goal of the game in their win over Jordan in a friendly in November.
If all goes to plan, the frontman will be considered by manager Jackie McNamara for Saturday’s crucial home clash with Inverness Caley Thistle.
