Jim Goodwin faces three-game ban for elbowing Dundee United youngster

St Mirren player Jim Goodwin looks like accepting a three-game ban by the SFA for elbowing Dundee United youngster Aidan Connolly in the face.
The offence, which went unpunished at the time, was shown clearly in video footage of Saturday’s Premiership match between the Tangerines and Buddies at Tannadice, which the home side won 3-0.
The Irishman has been charged with breaching rule 200 “by using violent conduct during a match in that you struck an opposing player upon the head with your elbow.”
Goodwin was offered a fixed two-match suspension, with one additional match from November 15 and it is understood he will not contest the charge.
