New Brechin City boss Darren Dods has made his first signing by bringing former Forfar team-mate James Dale to Glebe Park.
The 21-year-old midfielder, who started his career at Bristol City, joined the Loons in 2013 from Stirling University and has featured in over 60 games, mostly as a substitute.
With the paperwork done, Dale featured in the squad against Aberdeen with Dods saying: “I know what James is capable of and I am pleased to bolster my squad.”
Forfar boss Dick Campbell wished Dale well with his move across Angus as he explained: “James is lovely kid and a good footballer but he wanted to be more involved on the playing side. I could not guarantee him that and he reckons that he will get that at Brechin.”
