James McFadden is now facing a three-match ban in the wake of his sending off against Hamilton Accies on Sunday.
The St Johnstone striker got an automatic one-game suspension for his two yellow cards and ordering off by referee Andrew Dallas.
Now SFA Compliance Officer Tony McGlennan has issued a notice of complaint against McFadden, “offering” him another two matches.
This is as a result of an “offensive gesture” the former Scotland man has made to Hamilton fans as he was heading for his early bath.
One match is for the gesture and a second falls under the SFA rule which states that a player receives another “for any additional sending off offence”.
If McFadden accepts the suspension he will miss the matches against Partick Thistle, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Aberdeen.
The club have yet to decide whether to appeal, and have until Wednesday afternoon to respond.
