Europa League draw could reunite St Johnstone and Eskisehirspor
ByThe Courier Reporter
St Johnstone fans have just over a month to wait for the Europa League second qualifying round draw.
The Scottish Cup winners will be joined in the pot in Nyon, Switzerland, on Monday June 23 by Premiership runners-up Motherwell.
Saints will play their first leg on Thursday July 17 and the second game a week later.
Aberdeen will have already been in action by then, with a July 3 start for the Dons in the first qualifying round.
One of the interesting names in the mix for Saints is Turkish side Eskisehirspor, who knocked the Perth men out of the Europa League two years ago.
The clubs’ supporters built a strong bond over the two-leg tie, and the Turks were among those who congratulated the Saints on their success at the weekend.
