St Johnstone goalkeeper Stevie Banks has agreed a new deal to stay at McDiarmid Park.
Banks, 42, who picked up his third Scottish Cup winner’s medal at Celtic Park on Saturday after previous successes at Dundee United and Hearts, has signed on for another year with Saints.
He will continue to provide back-up to number one keeper Alan Mannus as well as working as the Perth club’s goalkeeping coach.
It is understood that Banks was also wanted by former club Hearts in a move that would have seen him team up again with old boss Craig Levein, the new director of football at Tynecastle.
However, he is happy at St Johnstone and keen to stay where he is.
