St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright has been admitted to hospital, and is to undergo an operation.
The Perth boss was taken to Perth Royal Infirmary suffering from stomach pains late on Monday night and has been detained ever since.
A club spokesperson explained the current situation, saying: “The cause of the problem has now been established and he will undergo a routine operation tomorrow.”
The Saints players are continuing the build-up to Saturday’s game against Hibs at McDiarmid Park under the watch of coaches Callum Davidson and Alec Cleland and will be training at Stirling University on Thursday as usual.
