St Johnstone have signed Motherwell striker John Sutton on a pre-contract agreement. The 31-year-old has agreed a two-year deal with the Perth club, which kicks in on July 1. It is understood Sutton knocked back offers from the Fir Park side as well as Kilmarnock. Saints boss Tommy Wright had already secured the signature of another new forward, Exeter City’s Graham Cummins. Saints return on Wednesday for pre-season training ahead of their Europa League qualifiers.
