Former Dundee midfielder Jim McAlister is on trial with St Johnstone.
McAlister has been training with the Perth club at their Stirling University base this week as boss Tommy Wright assesses whether to make him an offer.
He joins ex-Rangers prospect Rhys McCabe, who was released by Sheffield Wednesday at the end of last season, as a trialist.
Meanwhile, Wright expects to have a full squad to choose from apart from Dave Mackay and Murray Davidson for tomorrow night’s Europa League first round qualifier second leg at McDiarmid Park.
Chris Millar, Frazer Wright and Steven Anderson are all in contention to start after training yesterday.
