Chris Millar’s groin scan has brought good news for the St Johnstone midfielder.
Last season’s Perth player of the year feared a recurrence of the groin strain which ruled him out of the Europa League matches against Alashkert when he pulled up midway through the first half at Tynecastle on Sunday.
Millar is rated doubtful for this weekend’s home game with Inverness Caley Thistle.
But manager Tommy Wright yesterday revealed that a scan had ruled out any major underlying problem.
“It is a huge relief for Midge and for us,” he admitted.
“The scan has given us good news. There is no tear and he should be back training after a few days rest.”
