Brad McKay has been charged by the SFA over his “typical foreigner” comment regarding Hearts striker Juanma.
The St Johnstone defender has had a hearing set for Thursday, September 3 and has until Monday to respond to the complaint.
The charge facing McKay, who had a Saints league debut to forget at Tynecastle, relates to disciplinary rule 73.
It states: “In that upon 2nd August 2015 you made a comment of an offensive nature to the written media by referring to Juan Manuel Delgado Lloria of Heart of Midlothian FC in the following terms: ‘He’s a typical foreigner, he gets touched and goes down. He was holding the back of his head and rolling about the place’.”
