Tommy Wright was warned that Nigel Hasselbaink would be hard work for a manager. But the St Johnstone boss found him to be exactly the opposite. And the former Perth player is a threat that Saints will have to be wary of if he lines up against them for Hamilton Accies on Saturday. “I enjoyed working with Nigel,” Wright pointed out. “He’s got a lot of ability and did well for me. “He played more under me than he did under Steve (Lomas). He’s an exciting player, creates chances and scores goals. “Maybe he didn’t score as many as he should have at times, but he’s the kind of player who gets people off their seats. “I liked having him around the place, he’s an infectious character and the boys got on well with him. “People told me he’d be difficult to manage but I found him great.” He added: “They have signed Nigel and he will be a threat to us. “He was a good player when he was here and he’s someone we know really well. “It was obvious that he wanted to try something different last summer (when he moved to Greece).”
