St Johnstone boss hasn’t ruled out January signing

A January signing at St Johnstone would probably need a January departure, Tommy Wright has admitted.
The Perth boss is more than happy with squad he has assembled, and keeping it together for the second half of the season is his priority.
But he hasn’t ruled out making an addition.
“Rangers have money to spend, Hibs have money to spend, Hearts have money to spend, Celtic have money to spend and Dundee United have money to spend,” Wright said. “The bigger clubs will have money to spend.
“But we need to look and try find something which fits into the parameters of our budget. That might mean we don’t get anyone in. We would probably have to get someone out to get someone in.
“If it happens it happens but the club won’t go chasing or throw money at it. That’s how we have always been and particularly in the January window.
“Things are going nicely and we will be delighted if we hold onto all of our players.
“There’s been no interest in any of our players. But we have a few who are playing very well at the moment. If I was a manager of another club I’d be looking at a team who are at the right end of the table. But there has been no contact.”
