St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright is having to face up to three months without one of his key players. Steven MacLean will be out until February at the earliest after it was confirmed he will need a knee operation. Wright is optimistic though that the Perth club can cope in his absence. There was also more bad news as far as defender Steven Anderson is concerned. He will be on the sidelines for another seven weeks, having missed five already with a thumb injury.
