Former fans’ favourite Lee Croft is back training with St Johnstone, as manager Tommy Wright contemplates signing the winger.
The 28-year-old, who was with Saints for the second half of the 2011/2012 season before joining Oldham Athletic last season, is currently a free agent.
He recently had a spell training in America and has been invited back to Perth by Wright.
Croft took part in today’s session at Stirling University and player and manager will make a decision next week on whether there will be a second stint for him at McDiarmid Park.
Wright said: “I spoke with Lee a week ago and asked if he was interested in training with us and he was happy to do so.
“I know the calibre of the player and know what we’re getting and both parties will assess the next few days and make a decision in the next week to 10 days.”
