St Johnstone boss not surprised Julien Faubert is making an impact

Former Real Madrid midfielder Julien Faubert may not have been the right fit for St Johnstone, but Tommy Wright isn’t surprised that he is making an impact at Kilmarnock.
The Perth boss brought the 32-year-old playmaker to McDiarmid Park for a trial spell in February.
Wright decided not to sign the French free agent after giving him a game for the under-20s.
Killie boss Lee Clark then decided to hand Faubert a short-term deal, and he is likely to face Saints at Rugby Park on Saturday.
“He could play an important part for Kilmarnock,” Wright admitted.
“There was no doubting his ability when he was here and he seems to have had an impact.
“We had Julien in here to take a look at him. But he hadn’t played first team football for a while and we needed someone to hit the ground running.
“For all his ability, we didn’t feel that would be the case with Julien.
“But he has done well for them since doing there and he’s one we will have to be aware of.”
