St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright has brought Josu to Perth for a trial.
A product of the famous Barcelona La Masia academy has arrived at St Johnstone for a trial.
Midfielder Josue Currais Prieto (Josu) has played in several European leagues and his last club was Sachin Tendulkar’s Kerala Blasters in the Indian Super League.
The 22-year-old contemporary and friend of Everton’s Gerard Deulofeu will feature in a closed-doors game so manager Saints manager Tommy Wright can assess him.
“We have brought Josu in for a week’s training with us,” Wright said.
“He’s someone we’ve had recommended.
“He’s good technically, can play in a number of positions and is primarily left-sided.
“He’s played in a few countries across Europe and was in India last year.
“I’ve arranged a bounce game to have a look at him so we’ll see how he gets on.”
