Graham Cummins may be back in action for St Johnstone in three weeks, manager Tommy Wright has revealed.
Scan results have confirmed what the Perth medical team suspected, with the hamstring injury nearer the less severe end of the scale than the more severe end.
And the longest the Irishman is likely to be ruled out is five weeks.
“The scan was as we expected,” Wright said. “It is a grade two tear so we are looking at Graham being out for another three to five weeks.
“It is disappointing for the player but we will deal with his absence. We have enough cover with Sutty (John Sutton) and Kano (Chris Kane).
