St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright is looking at changing things up front for the visit of St Mirren to McDairmid Park on Saturday.
The Perth boss has deployed Steven MacLean as a lone striker in the last two matches, with mixed results.
The formation worked perfectly in the victory at Celtic Park, but it was a different story against Partick Thistle at the weekend.
Brian Graham and James McFadden have both had hardly any game time of late, while youngster Chris Kane has also been benched recently.
All three are in contention for the clash with relegation-threatened Buddies.
Wright said: “I’m pleased with the progress Chris is making and how he has performed since the turn of the year.
“He missed out against Celtic because of the system we adopted and we stuck with it away to Partick Thistle because it had got us a great win.
“There didn’t seem any need to change the starting line-up so he found himself on the bench again.
“With young players coming through you have to be careful with them. But we are delighted with the impact he has made since coming back from loan at Dumbarton.
“He could return against St Mirren but we also have Brian Graham and James McFadden chomping at the bit to get a start. As a manager it is a nice problem to have.”
