St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright says that after his side’s heroics against Rosenborg in Trondheim, he is tempted to play the same team again in the return leg.
However, after mixing things up in the friendly against Dundee at Dens Park on Sunday, he has been given some food for thought from players who did not feature in Norway.
Now he is considering a team selection that may catch opposite number Per Joar Hansen unawares.
He said: “With the exception of David Robertson, I have a full squad to choose from which is important.
“The Dundee game was always going to be competitive and there were a few tasty tackles from both sides. I was delighted with the work-out we got and it was a good test. They are a decent side and we took a lot of positives out of the match.
“It was valuable game time for a lot of the players and a few of them put down some reminders about how good they can be. One or two have given me something to think about for the game on Thursday.
“So I will look at it over the next couple of days and make my mind up, but I think it will be very much the same again for us.
“There is also though that temptation to throw in a surprise for them (Rosenborg) and I may do that.”
