Swansea City winger Gwion Edwards set for return to St Johnstone

The return of Swansea City winger Gwion Edwards to St Johnstone is nearly complete.
Manager Tommy Wright has confirmed negotiations have been progressing with the Swans after the player indicated he would like to come back to McDiarmid Park for a second crack at becoming an SPL regular with the Perth side.
He said: “We are keen to bring Gwion back on another loan, initially until January. He has indicated he would like to return. We have been speaking to Swansea and hopefully something can be firmed up in the next 48 hours.
“Gwion didn’t get the game time he had been looking for last season but there is no doubting his ability. We worked with him at close quarters and he also has genuine pace.
“Another loan deal would suit us, the player and Swansea, so we are optimistic it will go ahead.”
Edwards, 20, was restricted to bit part appearances from the bench last season under previous boss Steve Lomas, after being thrown in to a Scottish Cup debut defeat from St Mirren.
Swans manager Michael Laudrup does not believe he is ready to make an impact on their first team and believes the SPL and Europa League football with Saints would be better for his career progression.
