St Johnstone midfielder David Robertson has put pen to paper on a new deal for the opening half of the coming season.
The 26-year-old former Dundee United player has been given a chance to prove his worth after injury ruined his 2012/13 campaign just three months in.
Robertson had to have surgery in November after breaking his leg in a home defeat to Hibs but the resultant recuperation period has gone well and he has signed a deal until January as his road to recovery continues.
Robertson, who had been out of contract this summer, says he is happy at Saints and is looking forward to pre-season training.
“Things have been going well and I was doing some light training with the boys before the end of the season,” he said.
“I’m working hard over the summer and having this deal through to January gives me a bit of stability. It’s up to me now to make an impact and prove to the club that I’m worth keeping beyond then.”
Meanwhile, the Perth club have confirmed that there will be no hike in season ticket prices for the coming season.
Application forms can be found on the club’s website, while forms will also be sent to both existing and former season ticket holders in the next day or two.
More information on season tickets is also available by contacting the club’s ticket office on 01738 455000 or by visiting the ticket office at McDiarmid Park during office hours.
Meanwhile, the club are also offering fans the chance to join the official St Johnstone party travelling to their Europa League away fixture by holding a prize draw for those purchasing season tickets.
Two pairs of fans will get the chance to travel with the team to their European away leg.
