ST JOHNSTONE boss Steve Lomas has revealed he is keen to stay in Perth beyond the end of his current contract. The Northern Irishman was the early bookmakers’ favourite for the vacant manager’s job at Doncaster Rovers but has dismissed that as “speculation”. Given the fact he’s still in Tenerife on a short break, if the Yorkshire side are targeting him, they haven’t made their move yet. Lomas pointed out that he’s not seeking another job and would be happy to talk with chairman Steve Brown about a new deal. “It’s just speculation (the Doncaster job). These days I think you only need to get one man putting a bet on and your odds tumble. “I never once asked for a move as a player and it’s not something I would do as a manager. “If someone comes to you and says an offer has been accepted then that’s when a decision has to be made. “My aim is to see my contract out and hopefully it can be extended.”
